    My wife has a more expensive rubber one for her violin, so I thought I would economize and buy this one for mine since I am still learning how to play squeakily. This one does fit my violin and does mute, but not as much quiet as a more expensive rubber one. The biggest problem is finding it when I'm needing to practice and not wake up the kids. Hard to see a black mute in a pouch in the dark.
