Foam inside the tyres helps to reduce how much you can compress the tyres, it makes them a bit bouncy (good shock absorbtion). The wheels are nicely made. It is easy to put the tyres on the wheels without tools, just press them together by hand (see pictures). They fit so well that I don't think you need to glue the tyres on the wheels.
