Well packaged, received in good condition and excellent delivery time (14 calendar days from order). This is an easy to use acceleration and gyro sensor for all those times you need to figure which way is up. I am happy to recommend it.

Great motion sensor module. I purchased these to explore accelerometer and Gyro motion sensing on my Arduino. These work great and are easy to incorporate. Uses I2C bus. I was able to get this up and running in about 30 minutes to view accel and gyro data with my arduino uno board. Highly recommended, good value.

I bought 5 of these for playing with using Arduino UNO etc, and they seem to be fine. Manufacturer datasheet for the chip says max supply voltage is 3.46V and I2C inputs should be no higher than this so I used 3.3V and 1k resistors in series with data pins. However others have used 5V and direct connection. I found all the information on programming I needed at http://42bots.com/tutorials/arduino-uno-and-the-invensense-mpu-6050-6dof-imu/ - MPU6050 library and I2Cdev library, also a link to a sketch allowing you to calibrate the sensor. My first attempt used an RGB LED to display roll/pitch/yaw as brightness values. The board has both straight and right angle pins (to solder), and works best when used flat (horizontal)

These are unbelievable value at 5 for <£10 these can form the basis of a fall detection unit for the frail or elderly, I fall into the former category and use this to augment my support systems. For some sample code to use this see ESP8266.com support forum to get example sketches and firmware...to download the zip file requires registration with the site...very worthwhile if you are using these with an Arduino or ESP8266...... http://www.esp8266.com/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=6972
