I don't use these to build chargers but to transform old flashlights that use big expensive 4.5 batteries to LED flashlights that can work with one or 2 normal AA batteries. I thought that I have to use a resistor between the output of the DC-DC unit and the LED, but the LED works well without such resistor. I recover the LED ships from dead LED bulbs. I noticed that when a bulb dies, it is often because that one or few LEDs died. The other LEDs on the bulb still OK. Not easy to unsolder and re-solder such small smd LEDs but you can do it with time I haven't tested all 5 modules but the 2 I used worked well. Notice that when the module is alimented by only one AA battery at the input, the red LED does not work and still off

Cheap as can be, works like a charm. I used it on a Li-Ion i ripped out of a GPS and rigged it to this and one of the Li-Ion charging boards. no issues ive seen yet.

The packaging was good, arrived in individual zip lock bags covered in sponge padding. All modules were looking nice but when I checked all of them, one module malfunctioned. It didn't work as expected while other modules were working fine.

These Step-Up regulators are really useful when someone wants to drive a USB or other device from i.e. a 3,7V Lithium Battery. They provide perfectly stabilised voltage at 5V. The 500-600mA is really almost the max. for these devices, above that it really starts to heat up!!!

All five dc-dc work good! They give good 5v from voltage lower than 2v! And current it gives is enough for supply arduino and one sg90 servo.
