I have tested these modules with my ESP-01 / ESP-201 development board. These work fine. I could set 1M (256K SPIFFS) flash configuration.

I've only tested one of this batch so far. Three of them came in blister packs, two just in bags (like all my previous orders), all within separate envelopes inside the plastic shipping bag. The blister packs offer some protection in transit... hope they're the new normal. Shipping was a bit slow for UK to UK.

As stated, comes with 1MB (1 Million bytes) serial flash memory. I flashed the first one with NodeMCU (I don't need the AT firmware that comes with it), and it leaves more that 500KB for the user filesystem... The price is quite low, so go for it or choose one of the other ESP-xx flavors sold here, you won't find very cheaper ones in low volumes anywhere else.

Well worth the wait. Some are already flashed with arduino sketches and publishing data to Node-RED 1 flashed with Nodemcu and 2 flashed with Micropython. Since these have the expanded 1Mb flash there's plenty of room in the MicroPython filesystem to accept a substantial set of python files.
