Works good, it lights up from 2.1V with low intensity, lights on full intensity from 2.6 - 3 V. The beam is focusable to a very small pinpoint size.

Performs pretty well. Focus works, but the beam (lens) wobbles as it is screwed in or out. However, for the price this is not unexpected. However, what the web site does not tell you is that there ia current limiting circuit built into the housing. The SOT packages look like a couple three terminal devices plus a few two terminal devices. So if you put a resistor in series with the device and then turn up the voltage, at some value the current ceases to increase and so the light stops increasing. On the one I tested this happened at about 14ma. Far from the 40Ma that is mentioned on the web site. If you continue to turn up the voltage the current actually goes down. I think I will wire around the circuits and provide my own current driver. That way I can pulse it with a small duty cycle and get more peak power out. I am happy with the product.

Used for DIY laser collimator. The "head" of the laser is not so tight, some spacer needed to use to be tight, and focusing were needed to give good pinpoint light. With this two thing it worked satisfactory for me. One 18650 battery was enough to drive it. It really worth the money!
