I bought these for a drop open cabinet to secure my pistol magazines with, and they certainly do the trick. They're super strong, and hold even 18 round 9mm magazines in place. The only downside is that they're brittle. I broke a couple of them, but overall I'm very happy with them.

The magnets are real strong. It is hard to separate them by hand. Using them separated at about 10 mm to hold the clothes storage door closed without the annoying "click" from a regular magnet lock.
