This adapter fit both my soda stream and standard Canadian CO2 tank fittings. It works well. However, there are a couple issues worth mentioning.
1) The washers that come with it (to fit between the CO2 tank and the adapter) are not of the right type. Specifically, they are too soft for this type of high pressure application. They seem to work okay at first, but over time they deform and start leaking. You can tighten the connector further to make it stop, but after a while the washer deforms more and leaks again....and again. I went back to the shop in town where I bought the CO2 tank and they sold me the correct type of washer which is made of hard teflon. The correct washer costs about $5, so figure that into your costs when contemplating this item. Having said that, even with the extra cost, this was still much cheaper than other options I found.
2) The adapter does not fit through the finger hole in the back-cover of the soda stream. I was hoping to feed the line through the hole, but that didn't work. Instead, I had to leave the back cover off...not a huge deal.
