El paquete llego muy bien protegido en sobre acolchado, en su blister original. Este pelador de cables está indicado para secciones de cables de 0,5-6mm de sección. Además cuenta con cuchilla de corte muy efectiva. Funciona muy bien, realizando cortes limpios. La profundidad de pelado de cable se puede seleccionar mediante la escala en milímetros y en pulgadas. El tramo de pelado máximo es de 25mm. La herramienta está formada por piezas de plástico duro y de metal. Se ve sólida y resistente. El mecanismo viene engrasado para mayor suavidad. En su parte posterior hay un tornillo para regular la dureza o apriete de la herramienta en función del diámetro de cable a pelar. Es algo tedioso y complicado encontrar el punto adecuado, pero en general, realiza bien su trabajo. Solamente con los cables más finos (26-24-22awg) hay que tener cuidado de no pasarse en el ajuste para no cortar el cable en lugar de pelarlo. Aún así, la mordaza deja una marca en la funda del cable después de realizar el pelado. Por el precio que tiene (7$), es una buena herramienta que facilita mucho la tarea de pelado de cables, incluso mangueras con dos o tres hilos internos. Muy recomendable.
