These glasses are progressive. Top half of the lens have no prescription value and the bottom half progress into a reading lens. Great for driving because I have no problem seeing distant objects but the instrument panel is not clear. With these glasses I can now read all the buttons and knobs without sacrificing distant objects. The only issue is the progression starts in the middle of the lens. If the progression started about 2/3 down I believe this would yield a better setup.
