It works as it should, basically. Both modes (RX/TX) are fine, sound quality is decent, battery life is good for such a small cell. But there is one huge design flaw in this device. Left and right channels are swapped. In most applications, you would not probably notice it, but it is there. On the positive side, the device hackable and you might add a microphone if you wish. Fixing the issue with swapped audio channels requires some soldering skill. Basically, you need to remove the solder mask from the connections going to the left and right audio channels, cut them and resolder them together in opposite ways. Everything is indicated in attached pictures. The area of interest is marked by red circle, cut along the yellow line, solder along the red lines. After the mod, everything works as it should.

  • ionize @Robert If you are using a 3.5mm jack to rca cable, then yes, you could do that. Also, you could make a cable with 3.5mm jack at one end with swapped left and right channels. But still there are some situations where you need the output channels not to be swapped at the first place. Like for example when using it with headphones.

  • TheCagedNerd Is it at all possible to Tx and Rx at the same time?

    Eg, this receives and is wired to amplified speakers and also transmit so a Bluetooth speaker in the next room can play the same music.

  • mailrein Hi Awesome review, hope you still read this as I have a question for you. and i am sure you could answer that.
    I want to hook up an external audio source to this device, so use it as a bluetooth transmitter.
    But now I want to receive this bluetooth signal on an iPhone .
    As I want to use the camera on the iPhone but record external audio.
    Can you connect your iphone to this Bluetooth transmitter to receive audio?
