Маленький, в руке лежит хорошо. Есть модели еще меньше - держать моей рукой было бы уже проблематично. Этот - самый минимум. Стержень конический и съемный, но с ним удобно. Дерево действительно твердых пород. Клинышек из того же дерева, но выглядит из-за специфической формы слабовато и плохо обработан, но свою работу делает. Нужно точить нож! И это не просто легкая заточка, а серьезное формирование кромки и последующая заточка. Мне пришлось еще и шлифовать обратную сторону железко - она была не совсем гладкая. Металл мне показался довольно мягким. Точил вручную алмазами. Так как рубаночек очень легкий, вылет ножа делать очень маленьким. После этого инструмент становиться вполне функциональным - брал для легкой обработки кромок. Покупкой доволен.

This is actually a Mujingfang small smoother - better than what I expected. The iron is bedded at about 57degrees, nice for smaller pieces of problematic wood - this will serve me perfectly! The plane is well finished, and has a brass mouth insert: the finish is good, no issues there. The iron needed just a tiny bit of sharpening - it actually worked quite OK out of the box! The iron itself seems to be very good quality steel, and I suppose it will keep edge well. Be aware that this one is smaller than it looks in the photos - the sole is 100mm long: as I said, it will serve me perfectly for smaller pieces of problematic wood. In short, I would hratily recommend this one: very good quality, nice blade, and should work out of the box.
