Orange Pi One H3 Quad-core Support Ubuntu Linux And Android Mini PC

The orange pi one is a neat little board for those who wish to play with linux and electronics. However, since the software isn't as neat and documented as the RPi platform, I wouldn't recommend it to beginers. As for the OS, don't bother trying to download from orange pi website. just head to armbian website and download the OS from there. I am planning to use my board as an embedded controller because of price. It's a lot more work but it's way cheaper than buying a commmercial product.
I just test it with two different OS (Raspbian from orange pi website and Armbian) and it work perfectly. It is faster than my raspberry pi b+. everything work fine (network, usb, grahics). You have to put heatsink on cpu because it is very hot. Not tested GPIO yet.
Has happy to get this in the post the other day....only to find that the power connector for 5V 2A is a strange size and non of my power bricks can connect... had to order a connector from ebay size: 4.0 x 1.7mm
I Recommend Armbian OS. Everything works very well!
I installed armbian from https://www.armbian.com/orange-pi-one/ and it works flawlessly. It feels responsive and it looks great. I was a bit worried because there were some negative reviews talking about overheating. I do not know a word about the test load they used but I was using my Orange Pi for four days in a row with a quite typical engineering load (network traffic, long compilations, some quick edit-compile cycles, interactive desktop, and so on). I didn't find any overheating problems at all. I used the power supply of a Sony PSP console (rated 5V - 2A) without any problem so far. I would consider the Orange Pi One roughly similar to Raspberry Pi 2 but significantly smaller. I am seriously considering it for some undergraduate level labs.
perfeita, e milagrosamente correios BR entregando rápido
Purchased 2 of these Orange Pi One, as a cheap way to find out what all the fuss about Pi boards. These have been excellent. One has been built into a retro arcade machine and the other a home automation server. With a little reading and playing these can be used to anything a raspberry Pi can do (sometimes better) for a fraction of the price. Have now ordered some Orange Pi Lites for future builds. Just download and install Arbian OS and away you go :-D
Es una placa tipo raspberry más compacta y con muchas posibilidades. Solo incluye 512 mb de RAM pero para el uso normal va perfecta. La he probado con Retrorange y va genial. Compra recomendada para hacer una maquina arcade.
Very cool device. Everything works well. I recommend.
