So you must READ THE MANUAL and UNDERSTAND IT WELL. It may beep for no apparent reason if not used correctly and as described in the manual (which can give the impression of a malfunction of the device when it is normal). This is because it is a RADAR (or SCANNER) that works as such, and not like a simple metal detector that works by magnetism. Its mode of operation is to detect differences in density in the materials being scanned. If you detach the device from the wall while scanning, the scanner will think there is a difference in density and will beep even if there is nothing. It may even beep by itself in the air if moved very quickly, as it will detect a change in air density. Some people even said it didn't work because it beeped when they placed it against their own body, thinking it shouldn't beep because there is no metal in the body. But since it does not detect metal but changes in density, it will beep if you pass it over your body, depending on the areas! For example, it will beep when you go over the arteries because it detects blood circulation (the equivalent of water flowing in a pipe), because it is made for that! SO READ THE MANUAL CAREFULLY AND YOU SHOULD BE SATISFIED (unless it is really defective, in which case, return under warranty!).

ATTENTION : bien lire tout le commentaire ! L'appareil fonctionnne très bien, j'en suis satisfait. J'ai été un peu rétissant au début car j'avais lu quelques commentaires négatifs. Gardez bien une chose en tête : CE N'EST PAS UN DÉTECTEUR DE MTÉAUX, C'EST UN SCANNER, UN RADAR !!!! Après utilisation et essaie de l'appareil, j'ai compris que la plupart de ces commentaires négatifs étaient dûs à une mauvaise utilisation. Il faut donc BIEN LIRE LA NOTICE et la COMPRENDRE. Il peut sonner sans raison apparente si on ne s'en sert pas correctement et comme décrit dans la notice (ce qui peut donc faire croire à une disfonctionnement de l'appareil alors que c'est normal). Cela est dû au fait que c'est un RADAR (ou SCANNER ) qui fonctionne comme tel, et non pas comme un simple détecteur de métaux qui fonctionne par magnétisque. Son mode de fonctionnement est qu'il détecte les differences de densité dans le matériaux qu'on scanne. Si on décolle l'appareil du mur pendant qu'on scanne, le scanner va croire à une difference de densité et va donc sonner même s'il n'y a rien. Il peut même sonner tout seul en l'air si on le déplace très vite, car il repèrera un changement de densité de l'air. Certaines personnne disaient même qu'il ne fonctionnait pas car il sonnait quand ils le plaçaient contre leur propre corps, pensant qu'il ne devrait pas sonner car on n'a pas de métal dans le corps. Mais comme il ne détecte pas le métal mais les changements de densité, il va donc sonner si vous vous le passez sur le corps, selon les endroits ! Il va par exemple sonner quand vous passez sur les artères car il détecte la circulation du sang (l'équivalent d'une circulation d'eau dans un tuyau), car il est fait pour ça ! DONC LISEZ BIEN LA NOTICE ET VOUS DEVRIEZ EN ÊTRE SATISFAIT (sauf s'il est vraiment défaillant, dans ce cas, retour sous garantie!).
