When it comes to flexible filaments this extruder is really good. Having a bowden tube all the way to the gear and pulley really helps prevent any failures that may happen such as filament wrapping around the gears and not going through to the nozzle. It's is a little more heavy then other options due to the fact that it uses a full size extruder motor, however this is fine as you don't print flexible material very fast and ringing isn't a big of an issue. With the 4 different tension settings you can set 1 to almost no tension and if you have and issues turn it to that setting and simply pull your filament out if your nozzle is up to temperature. When an issue does arise it is much easier to clear vs something like a BMG where sometimes you have to disassemble the assembly to get to the problem. This setup works for most filaments but i recommend it the most for a TPU or PP dedicated printer as there are lighter direct drive options for PLA or other materials. Happy 3D printing everybody

The extruder arrived promptly and well packaged. Once mounted (on my I3 style printer), it worked great for TPU prints; it even improved my PLA print quality. Highly recommended.
