The pump is in a very well presented and printed retail box sealed in clear cellophane. On opening the box you find a nice black zipped bag that contains the pump unit, instruction manual, main hose, Micro USB charge cable and three adapters in the listing and my pictures.
The unit itself has a shiny surface on the top and once powered up illuminates to show the areas you touch for the various functions, On-Off is a touch and hold for two or three seconds, when off a press hold in roughly the right place will power up the pump, also simply pulling out the pump hose also powers up the pump. The touch 'buttons' are self explanatory and easy to understand. The light on the side is switched by repeat presses on the light button - on white, on red flashing, on red flashing SOS signal, off.
The first tyre I came to had the valve at the top and because the hose is short this meant either hanging the pump on the hose or tucking it onto the wheel, either way is ok.
The first thing I did was test the pump for accurate pressure readings and I can confirm that the pumps gauge is accurate to within 0.3psi, so no problem with accurate pressure readings.
I found the best method for attaching to the valve is to ensure the thread is started on the valve end then to hold the pump itself with one hand loosely around the body and spin it with the other hand, before a final tighten on the valve end itself. To undo release at the valve end then spin the pump to unscrew.
The pumps not overly noisy in operation and while not super quick it does get the job done, 31-36psi took 2m18s.
When charging a blue indicator light flashes rapidly, then slows, before finally staying on when fully charged. In summary I like this pump a lot, it's small, convenient, well built and also aesthetically pleasing, not something I'd usually look for but I can't deny the design is the final part of a very well thought out package that just works well. A+ item, recommend.
