Although the little documentation card that comes with the light specifies that the bulb only works with 120V (which gave me a fright), rest assured that these bulbs work with 240V (NZ and Aus). the Xiaomi smart ecosystem just works. As soon as you turn on the bulb and open the app, the bulb is discovered and you can join it to your network. No phaffing about. Also, if you are running Home Assistant, it is automatically detected - the only caveat being that unlike the automation hub etc, you have to download another app (Yeelight app) and enable LAN automation to get the bulb to actually work with HA. The setup in the app is really simple though. At this stage no direct support by Google Home.
