Ordered as my first cinewhoop maybe 8 weeks into flying. All the video reviews made me think this was exactly what I was looking for, and it is close, But with a 1300mah 6s and a Hero 7 even low throttle cruising leaves the motors sizzling after 3 minutes. I have been on an absolute knowledge bender since buying my first RTF kit a couple of months back and am finally getting my head round PID tuning. After adding JESC 48khz to the escs and rpm filtering, the motors were a tiny bit cooler, but you still couldn't hold on to them, it also flew a bit sloppier so delved into the PIDs. The stock tune doesn't have D-min active, I turned this on, allowing me to raise the D values on roll and pitch slightly, but with the lower value being used for cruising. This also allowed me to slightly raise the P values on each by the same amount. I took it out for another test and the motors were noticeably cooler, then it started raining. I feel like I can tune this better still, but also have ordered a set of 1806 motors and a set of 2203.5 motors (both lowest kv i could find) so ultimately I feel like I have a winning quad. I'm not sure this is supposed to carry a full weight GoPro, but it can, just be prepared for hot motors. It is fairly acro in its abilities, which is what I wanted, something that can carry a gopro fairly steadily, but if I need to dive or loop something in a video, I can. It is a bit heavy coming out rolls, but that is to be expected on a ducted quad I think. I CA glued the 4 runners at the bottom to the frame as the bolts just go straight through the TPU if you try tightening them and land fairly heavily. I also replaced the VTX and crossfire with a sixty9, and have installed a shorter TBS antenna. and I have the motors to mess about with soon. So I wouldn't say this was a perfect quad, and it being my first cinewhoop I have nothing to compare it too. But it flies beautifully on its stock tune. Was well happy with it.

Q: how many gramms does one motor way?

Asked by piehler on 2019-08-20 02:55:41

bumbahawk Thesearen't the whole motor. Just the premium version of the bell with the slightly better magnets and a titanium shaft, vs the steel shaft on the xing-e.

Q: How do I "bind" the control?

Asked by BG124482413 on 2021-08-28 03:27:16

bumbahawk Ibought with crossfire so binding is super easy. If you don't have crossfire, best to do it through betaflight. There is a command you can type into CLI.

Q: does it fits runcam nano 2?

Asked by fernandommartins on 2019-08-29 05:53:30

bumbahawk Thethread is an m8 thread, so it will technically go on a runcam 2, however the foxeer has a longer length, I have been using my old runcam nano 2 lenses on my foxeer toothless starlight until these arrived, so they might work, but the image quality of these lenses is much worse, so I wouldn't bother with them.
