Small size, mighty moves, and all under 250 grams of weight too! I own both the analog version with ExpressLRS and the HDzero version with ExpressLRS. Both are awesome quads. My favorite to fly right now. Really smooth tune on betaflight 4.3 with ELRS, and the range can achieve 1+ mile, battery life is your only limit! For some modifications, I would add some extra tape over the motor wires on the arm, the props can strike it without it. Secure down the u.fl connector for the vtx antenna a bit. Zip-tie the xt30 lead to one of the posts on the frame. And throw a zip tie on ELRS T-antenna, heat shrink both sides. These little things protect the crux35, it's survived my abuse and crashes so far too. Rarely do I buy two of any quad unless I really like it -- the crux has earned a win in my book! This is a sweet little whoop. ExpressLRS and the VTX on this gives you incredibly awesome range. I chased a truck 2.3km down the road before signal was lost! You can feel the difference in latency between an ELRS SPI whoop and an FrSky whoop, if you are on the fence, trust me -- the difference in control/feel is absolutely significant! The tune on this quad feels good to me, I'm not an expert in whooping but it did all the tricks I wanted it too. I think the best battery is a 550mah 1s lihv, any higher and you start to add significant weight that cuts into flight time and feel.

JohnCC Hmm-- I've crashed it many times and neither my friend nor I have this issue with ours. Check the MIPI cable connection on the board, maybe it's loose or needs to be reseated. Yes, the video transmitter does get hot but this is normal, and airflow keeps it cool.

First of all: if you land it even a little bit hard (not to speak of a crash) the video will drop out and you need to cycle power manually. So no way to recover a crash, even a normal landing on hard floor does it. Second is temperatures .. you better fly direclty after connecting the battery. This thing is going to melt within a minute.

Q: can i use 3s batteries on the drone?

JohnCC You can absolutely use 3s batteries with this drone. I've flown a 3s 650mah with my crux35, it doesn't have as much power though on 3s.

This is my second happymodel Mobula6, and I would happily buy this one AGAIN today if anything were to happen to it. The little guy got me through an entire season of crashing and bashing in International Game of Whoop. I did not even have to replace a motor. The 25,000kv version is fast, but you can tame it with throttle scaling if you need to. I preferred having the 25,000kv power though to be able to pull off all of the crazy tricks we needed to accomplish, from trippy spins, to power loops, to rubik's cubes, it did it all.

Q: I have got mine is the analog SPI elrs version it came with elrs v1 how do I get elrs v2 on it?

JohnCC Update the firmware to betaflight 4.3-RC3 or newer. Since ELRS on this quad is SPI, it must be updated by using the latest version of betaflight. The stock firmware is flashed with a betaflight 4.3 development version with ELRS 1.0 on it.

Q: can a better receiver be fitted instead of the crap spi ones?

JohnCC The ELRS SPI receiver on this one with the T-antenna gives you the full range of ELRS. Not crappy at all.

Fits insta360go2 perfectly. A bit hard to get on the quad, though. I recommend using a plastic tool to stretch the 3D print to get the camera on there.
