Q: What type of filter comes with the unit? Are standard 3M cartridges compatible with the screw ( EN148-1) ?

phraxas Yes. The mask has also has inlet ports on each side of the mask that can attach bayonet 3M trapezoidal filters. They have covers for air pump operation. The included filter is a simple canister of activated charcoal which can be disassembled to replace charcoal.
