BigDPS The only recommendation I have to give you is make sure you have it on a switch. When it first gets a jolt, the laser turns on. Install a switch to prevent the initial jolt. You can find some documentation on YouTube.

BigDPS I must have been lucky cause mine works fine. I even went over the maximum amperage it is rated and it gave the the power anyway to finish my project. The red warning light came on but never tripped or anything

Q: Hello I need to know when is big wind, can I stop the turbine?

BigDPS Take this info with a grain of salt as I don't own one. I would say the controller in it is set for a certain speed. Let's say 100Km-H. If all of a sudden it sees that it is turning over 100Km-H, it could "reverse dump" (not the right words ) and slow down back to 100. It does so by turning the generator as a braking system. Best example is your car alternator. Just turning the car and letting idle with noting on, the alternator will spin freely. Give it a load and resistance will be felt in the engine as well as the screeching sound. Like turning on headlights, defrost, fan heaters and everything else. It is the same way with a turbine. It will purposely send voltage to one of its coil winding and disrupt the proper flow therefore giving it a load and slowing it down. Hope it helps. Makes sense in my head. LOL
