Fantastic little soldering iron. No wonder everyone is raving about this and the TS100. I already own a TS100 and think it's terrific, but it's just not as portable as the TS80P. The TS100 needs a high capacity 4S, 5S, or 6S battery, which is fine if you fly drones or race R/C cars with those batteries, but I invariably don't, so i required one that could be used with a decent power bank. The TS80p fits the bill perfectly. It heats up rapidly, the tips are decent quality (even the unbranded ones), and the whole unit feels incredibly comfortable to work with, due in part to the highly flexible type c to type c cable included and the very ergonomic and small aluminium iron casing. A very premium look and feel. Only thing to be mindful of is that your powerbank does indeed support QC3 or higher and/or PD2.0 to be able to get the required voltages for the iron. A normal power bank or one that is marked QC3 but does not comply properly with USB standards will only output 5v and the iron will display "LowVolt" and not turn on. It may be a little expensive for such a small everyday device, but there is honestly no better alternative out there (except the TS100 mentioned earlier, that has it's own limitations) I would throughly recommend this iron without hesitation to anyone that requires to do soldering work out in the field or away from mains power. It may only be a 30w iron which I was a little skeptical about, but it delivers power to the tip extremely quickly when needed and it copes remarkably well with even bigger tasks that would tax even a proper soldering iron. It's honestly faultless at what it does.

Good quality electric screwdriver. Very comfortable to hold and operate. The case is excellent, a quick push at one end and it springs open revealing the driver and the bits, which are all held in place securely with magnetism. There's also little diagrams above the bits to let you know at a glance which bit you are choosing and where it should be stored. Bit's are of good quality. Excellent for small electronic repairs. The deep hole bits are a godsend too. There is a discernable difference between the two gear settings, the lower one is ideal when dealing with more fragile devices such as mobile phone disassembly and repair. The charging light is very noticeable (unlike my wow stick screwdriver which is minute and hard to see) and the USB C charging circuit means you can easily plug the cable in any way round (again, unlike my wowstick that uses micro USB that can be a pain to tell the right way up). I love using it at the moment. The only thing I can think that would improve it was if it had an Led in the tip to light the working area (like wowstick 😁). I heartily recommend this device to anyone who regularly disassembles and repairs devices or for the hobbiest who races/flys R/C vehicles. It's excellent. Ps. Should point out that the instructions are entirely in Chinese, but it's pretty straight forward to operate. It can't be overcharged (auto cuts off when at full capacity) and has a simple forward/reverse button. It can be used manually in any gear to tweak up the torque by just twisting it like any normal screwdriver.

Q: Is the motor brushed or brushless?

Dickie The motor is brushed, non replaceable, without disassembly of the unit.
