This has similar capacity like a non-rechargable alkaline. The 400mA on the label is what can be discharged. The internal LiPos are 2x500mAh in parallel, This shows when charging from USB. The internal 3.8V are boosted to constant 9.4V until the cells are depleted, so no indication of remaining charge. From 5 pcs ordered, one arrived dead, but was easy to fix, badly soldered wire came lose. While doing discharge tests, I broke one when drawing high current accidentally, about 2A for some seconds. All in all a good product, will buy again.

kubakocoj Curious why they wired it in parallel instead of series. 7.4 volts boosted to 9 volts would have better conversion efficiency than 3.7-to-9, I suppose. And watt-hour capacity stays the same. Maybe it's because series wiring would require some extra balancing circuit. Anyway, very interesting product. And thanks for helpful review.
