This is a great sharpening stone but with a few niggles. Firstly, it's smaller than my other sharpening stone, although big enough for what I use it for (sharpening chisels and hand plane irons.) Secondly, the plastic surround around the stone itself, can be nicked at when sharpening since it's just.. there. I understand why it's there, because it holds it steady in the rubber footed plastic holder it sits in. My other stone is a lot heavier though and doesn't require any holder or surround, and I usually end up not using the holder anyway. That isn't to detract from the product though, it's great at what it does, and apart from a few personal niggles, I would recommend it.
