I've had it working as expected. I had a bit of trouble binding it at first, but I think the trick is to hold down the button while applying power, the light should flash quickly. Ibus cuts out after a few tenths of a second of turning off the transmitter, but PPM doesn't seem to have a fail safe. I've included a picture of the module's pinout.

damienp Update: It just stopped working during use - the 3.3V power and ground have shorted. It might have been my fault, since I connected power to the 3.3V pad directly, and I'd removed the heatshrink so it could have shorted against something else.
