Used these to add DVR capability to my EV800 box goggles. Followed a tutorial on YT that make locating the pins a piece of cake. Instead of reusing one of the buttons I just mounted this device on top of the goggles and the included navigation thumbwheel works fine. I could see that component being a weak point with this setup (the thumbwheel) but if yours wears out, you can always wire up external buttons to replace it. my only complain is with the FW in that if you are watching a video and use the fast forward feature, there is no way to return to normal speed. It just stays in 2x play mode, forward or reverse. Skipping forward again makes it play at 4x, 8x then end of file. but all in all, a cheap way to add DVR capability to goggles what don't come with it.
