I bought six of these, and they're good fun soldering together. I especially like the 3D circuit boards and the way they solder together. Circuit boards are high quality with good solder pads. Components fit the boards, and so far I haven't come across any dud components. No instructions included, but if you Google "DIY LED solder kit Christmas tree" or some such phrase, you'll find what you need, both as documents and videos. One tip: Don't solder the capacitors in place before you assemble the two parts of the tree. Transistors can be bent slightly out of the way, but the taller capacitors would represent a problem. The only real downside to these kits is that every single kit i received lacked two 1 K resistors. You need 4 to build the kit (or actually 6, but these kits include some 330 Ohms that are used for the green LED banks instead of 1 ks to compensate for their perceived weaker light), but only 2 are included. Luckily a nerd like me has stuff like that lying around. All in all these are great kits. I hope the manufacturer can fix the resistor problems. They're not exactly costly parts.
