I live in the us and it arrived with a UK plug and a "death-daptor" but after testing it out and making sure nothing was wrong with it, I took it apart and swapped out the cord for one with a us plug. It's surprisingly nice and the temperature selector actually works and will throttle the power so it doesn't get too hot when just sitting, but stays at the right temperature when you are really forcing the glue through.
