I put this on a plane that could only take an 8" prop. This motor is really designed for a prop around 9 inches. The reason this is important is because the motor is constantly at the top end of the range, close to full throttle. You'd think it would be steaming hot but no, it's fine. The value for the money is really incredible. You will need to buy some bullet connectors https://www.banggood.com/3_5mm-Gold-Bullet-Banana-Connector-Plug-For-ESC-Battery-Motor-50-Pairs-p-996353.html?rmmds=search The reason why the bullet connectors are important is because over time you may want to try out different motors on your plane. With Banggood it's not like it was 20 years ago when you spent $50 a motor and you really couldn't afford to change it. These motors are so inexpensive that you can start off with a motor like this with a large prop for slow, predictable flight. Then you can switch things up with a faster motor with higher KV along with a smaller prop. The bullet connectors will make switching out motors a snap. i was skeptical buying a RockStar motor. No, they're really good. Very strong, and an exceptional bargain. My only suggestion is to buy two of them. You may want to have a spare around. This motor arrived quickly.
