I have installed this Sonoff basic inside a waterproof case in my kitchen extractor hood, this gives me smart control over the light. I have soldered an extra connector to the push button and connected this to a non latching button which can be used to control the light manually. I use Amazon Alexa for the automation, once the eWelink Smart Home skill was added it works fine. I couldn't get the quick pairing mode to work in the eWelink app but compatible pairing mode worked fine.
