The unit is pretty solid and well-built. When I turned on the amp it gave a a low background noise that sounded similar to noise emitted by a cooling fan. That is a bit annoying when you are sitting near in between play. Fortunately that didn't interfere with the music playing. It was a reasonably good quality unit in terms of sound and build, and is worth the money.
