kevin It's probably peak, but you are right. When you look at equivalent sized electric motors the cables aren't much bigger. But you do have a very valid point.

That said, being plastic, how long would expect them to last? these are designed to get you out of a jam, not to put on every time it snows. Either buy real snow tires or get metal chains.

kevin No. You can not run a single phase motor from a 3 phase variable frequency drive. Single phase motors use capacitors or start windings to start the motor in a particular direction. The variable voltage and frequency from the drive will not allow those starting methods to work.
