machead I have the same problem. Deceived by the description.

The soldering iron works fine with a battery or simple power supply (I tested with 12V and 24V so far). Heats up quickly and seems to hold the temperature quite well. The temperature display updates a little too often and sometimes jumps quite erratically. Unfortunately the USB-C plug on the device suggests that this can be used with a generic USB-C power supply but that does not work for me. At least

machead Pic 1. That’s a deans connector. Usually used by RC people for their battery connections. Pic 2. Try pushing it in all the way? No metal should be exposed.

no idea where to plug this connector to charge the solder. The adapter connector is too tight can not plug in properly.

machead I was deceived by the description too. Was hoping it has PD via usb c. Looks like I’ll be sticking to my TS100s

This soldering iron does not work with PD! The description is incorrect! I have tried four PD power supplies and five C-C cables in all combinations, also tested with a professional USB analyzer. This device does not support PD protocol in any of the options! It is possible to use with a USB PD trigger, but this is not at all what I expected.
