katmandieux Thank you for sharing your experience. Mine has been working fine since purchased. It sounds like you either had a badly defective one or it overloaded a circuit and somehow caused a direct short. It would be interesting to cut it open to see what went wrong.

Q: what is the highest voltage it can handle? can I run this motor on more than 12 volt to get more power?

elitic I have 6 of these and run on 4S LiPo battery. 16,8V per motor is not a problem (motors do not get hot, only litle warm) when load is LOW! If you are planing to use at higher voltage, be sure to check if they get hot and use additional heatsinks or fans if they do.
