Q: Lag? Can this camera be used for FPV, to pilot a race quadcopter in rate mode?

Anton I've found this to be too laggy for FPV whoop flying, but it's OK for a slower craft. Main issue is the transmitted framerate drops to about 15fps when recording (it auto-records which is nice), and 25/30 when not. The upside is that the recorded videos are 720p direct from the sensor and not analogue, then converted to digital.

Anton The camera worked fine for a long duration @ 25mW on the bench test. When flying, the air movement should keep the unit cool enough. These cameras all typically get rather hot.

Anton No, not directly but you can use a PAM8403 type amplifier in addition.

Anton You can, but the volume will be barely audible as this has headphone level output.

Anton Microwatts. This will NOT drive speakers directly. Used for driving headphones or or an EXTERNAL amplifier.
