Q: Would you really want to be using this at highway speeds when there is a possibility you will pass a car with an autonomous driving system engaged? Can you be 100% certain that autonomous vehicle will not also be jammed and crash into you at 70mph?

BG855377253 Autonomous cars don't rely on GPS signals, because it's not accurate enough. They use a sensor system with depth cameras for positioning.
