CSientist Yes, they can be stacked, but the cooling power of the stacked system will be worse. You will reach lower temperature, but not better cooling performance. Also, make sure that you run less power through the top unit, otherwise the bottom Peltier won't be able to cool its hot side. If you use TEC12706, run the bottom at 4 Amps and the top at 1-2 Amps. You can control the Amps by limiting the voltage.
