Q: Can I use this connector to power my TS100 soldering iron ?

shaun_prawn No, the inside diameter is too small for TS100. The TS100 has a 2.5mm pin on the jack. These connectors are for 2.1mm size pin.

shaun_prawn Try this link, it has some instructions for a very similar clock. There are some slight differences, but I found it helped me a lot: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1LIZ1-nW9lXakfhNmHaQGRaxbpJOyLV1-mXykn9G2J6s/edit Look down the very bottom for programming instructions. There are some differences for which buttons bring up each setting like where it says button '3' is for temperature, but it is actually for alarm setting on this clock.

Assembly was easy with the included components -- cannot for the life of me get it to set. Was able to get the digits to flash as part of the set procedure and, upon using the +/- to display the correct time, it would revert back to 04 11 30 each time. Quite frustrated with this as a clock and underwhelmed. Instructions are completely in Chinese and I used Google translate to obtain the steps for setting.

I was a little surprised how good the quality of this is. I was expecting much less for the price. It has auto on feature, comes with a nice case and even a spare battery with it. Couldn't be happier.

I recently purchased a digital microscope which has been great, but a little bit of extra light works well. These are great as they attach directly to the frame of the microscope and the flexible head allows you to direct the light exactly where you need it. They are only 1W, so they don't put out a lot of light, but for what I am using them for they are perfect. Also I purchased both the warm white and the cool white. I think the warm white is much better, as the cool white has a very strong blue tinge to it.

I use this on my work desk for when I need a bit of extra light. The flexible head is great as you can move it in to position over what you are working on to get the light where you need it most.

They are quite good quality probe set, and have quite a few attachments which is great. But to be honest I think it's just best to have specific probes for each thing instead of unscrewing attachments and putting others on. Still happy with the purchase.

I just finished this kit last night, and it looks fantastic. The pictures do not do this clock justice at all. They really should remove the protective paper on the black acrylic shown in the photos, it looks so much better. Be warned this has a few surface mount components you need to solder. If like me you have never tried surface mount soldering, it's not as easy as it looks on youtube haha. I had a bit of trouble getting it right, but a bit of patience and a lot of desoldering and resoldering and it eventually just clicked. You will need some very small solder 0.5mm or even 0.3mm, I only had 0.8mm and that just made life hard for the surface mount soldering. Some good flux is also necessary. The kit was very easy to assemble in that everything is labelled on the board clearly. The acrylic case that it comes with is genius in design, it's hard to explain, but the way it all assembles together just works very well. Programming it took me a while to work out, but wasn't too hard. Highly recommend this little project, it was very satisfying, and the end result looks so good. Now on to make a nixie tube clock!

To be honest I still prefer the ceramic holder over this one but that is much for expensive. This holder clicks on to the iron and stays on it. Sometimes it can get in the way depending on what you are soldering, but most of the time it is fine. For the money it is good.

I love the TS100 so much I bought a second one. It was annoying sometimes having to switch between tips, so as there was a sale on I decided to purchase a second soldering iron. Problem solved. As pretty much every other review states, this is a must have if you do any soldering, you won't look back.

The TS100 is the best soldering iron period. It deserves to have this little case. To be honest I would buy just about any accessory for the TS100 but this is a must in my opinion. Unfortunately you still need to take the tip off to fit it in the case.
