Just to let people know, some of the lots are packaged different. I've ordered multiple times and I've gotten all of the lights already separated. Next time, they were packaged on the board they were machined from and they were basically attached on 3 sides so I had to take an x-acto knife to take them apart. Breaking them apart manually would tear a contact off, sorta like a wishbone but your product was getting destroyed. Out of 20, I only couldn't use 3 so I didn't mind. This last time they were shipped on the board they were machined and taking them apart is much easier. Anyways, good product and it's a great price. Third time I've bought.

I checked one out with a sample program using Arduino. There are all sorts of programs available on the web. This program brings the LED through all the color spectrum both flashing and solid. I followed recommendation to use 1000 uF cap on power, 470 ohm resistor on data line, and separate 5V power source, even though I'm only testing one. LED worked perfectly. I wish I could get some conductive stainless steel thread on Banggood to test that out with these as well.

These are the only sewable LEDs I've been able to find between banggood and aliexpress. They work great with arduino/adafruit. I'm making a jacket with 30 LEDs and it would have cost me $75 just for the LEDs if I bought domestic (2 packs of 20) and here it's $15. I usually buy my LEDs and batteries from here and my controllers from the USA. If you need sewable thread, just use the Stainless Medium Conductive Thread 3 ply from adafruit. Yea it's a little pricey but it's not worth trying to figure out a cheap source unless your doing an ungodly amount of sewing for wearables.
